Current Projects

Faith and Climate Action Montana offers opportunities for engagement at the congregational/faith community level as well as by serving as an action network where people from diverse communities can advocate collectively. See below for current efforts.

Solar Congregations

Is your church or faith community interested in going solar?
We're working to make access to solar easier for faith communities and nonprofit organizations that own their buildings. We can help you navigate the process! Contact us today.

Green Team Initiative

What is the Green Team Initiative?
A step-by-step process to help your faith community go deeper on environmental and climate change issues, tailored to your community’s unique interests and capacities. By establishing a “Green Team”, your community or congregation will be empowered to take meaningful action to connect your faith tradition with the environmental challenges and opportunities our world faces today.

Ready to dive in? The first step is a meeting with Green Team members, your Faith and Climate Action Montana coach, and your pastor or faith leader, to get everyone on the same page about participation in the initiative and answer any questions. Contact Abby Huseth to get started: faithandclimateactionmt@gmail.com

Montana Legislative Session - Spring 2017

Faith and Climate Action Montana is a coalition of people of faith engaged in caring for creation and addressing climate change through congregational engagement, education, and faithful advocacy. During the 2017 Montana State Legislative Session, we are supporting policies that improve access to clean, renewable energy and create jobs. These are issues that the faith community can bring an important voice to. The two main efforts we are focused on are the Solar Jobs Initiative and PACE legislation. Here are several ways  you can get involved:
